BPH Treatment Options
The Rezūm System is an advanced option for the treatment of an enlarged prostate, which is medically termed as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This technology became approved by the FDA in 2015, making it one of the newest solutions for BPH and the various urologic symptoms associated with it.
Treatment with the UroLift® System uses a minimally invasive approach that provides rapid relief and recovery of BPH symptoms. It is an earlier treatment option can get men off BPH medications and avoid major surgery. The goal of the UroLift System treatment is to relieve symptoms so you can get back to your life and resume your daily activities.
Transurethral microwave therapy (TUMT) is an outpatient procedure to treat urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It’s used less often now than it was in the past and has generally been replaced by newer treatments.
Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is the most common surgery for BPH. In the United States, about 150,000 men have TURPs each year. TURP uses electric current or laser light.
